![]() ![]() Here's my predictions for the Direct (which I reckon will be on 14th/15th Feb) I fully admit this isn't the most likely outcome, but if I predicted the most likely outcome every time then it'd be boring, and if there's ever a time for something unlikely to happen it's now. My prediction is that there will be a "Special Presentation" on Switch 2 sometime between March and May, and then we'll get a more traditional Direct in June that covers Switch 1 and 2 games. Pokemon will probably get its own direct. They can Twitter drop a couple more remakes/ports and then save the big announcements that will still be on Switch for June. Donkey Kong, and all the Level-5 games like Fantasy Life and DECAPOLICE. We already have Peach, Thousand Year Door, Luigi's Mansion, Mario vs. "But they have more games to announce!" Do they? Aside from the Genealogy of the Holy War remake I don't think there's that much. If there's one time the patterns will change it's now. "But the patterns!" Yeah, once upon a time the patterns used to be completely different, then something called the Switch came out and these changed. Like, it's a pretty safe bet to say "Nintendo is gonna have a February Direct since they have multiple things they need to address/update us on and to sprinkle in a few more smaller announcements before the big June Direct" Nintendo needs to fill in the April-June gap with a few more releases to help get us to the Summer without a three month dormant period of no Switch releases and to keep us playing games while we wait for the Switch 2 reveal ![]() Unicorn Overlord needs a new marketing trailer to show off more mechanics, features, characters and to remind people it exists and is coming out in March We still need the release date for Splatoon 3's INKOPOLIS DLC The Thousand-Year Door Remake also needs its release date revealed (which is coming too, as it's been ESRB rated recently as well) Luigi's Mansion 2 HD needs another trailer + release date reveal (which is coming, it's ESRB rated now) Princess Peach: Showtime! needs its blowout to get more hyped for its release in March Also, I have no idea as to why you'd even think differently when we know: Thinking other wise is pretty weird, lol. It's basically a tradition at this point, along with the June and September Directs. Click to shrink.Nintendo has historically had February Directs as far back as 2019.
